A Journey to Athirapally Waterfalls


Once I went to Athirapally Waterfalls in Thrissur District of Kerala with my friends.It was a memorable experience for me.I heard about this waterfall before and saw in some films too,but do not went there.When I saw it with my own eyes,it was more beautiful and a memorable one for me.

Me and my friends with our guardian Priest’s and assistants-we,started our journey from Thrissur,from one of our online tution Sir’s house early in the morning in a traveller van.The road trip was nice.There were many trees and small rivers on the way.A nature friendly journey.We also saw some wild animals like monkeys jumping on the trees,deers eating grass on the field.After some one and half hours journey we reached the waterfall area.

When we reached there we could hear the sound of water falling.We took entry pass and entered.We walked a little and reached at the Waterfall.I saw the waterfall.It was very big and full of white water like milk.The water was falling from a high place which contains full of big rocks. It is a part of ‘Chalakudy River’ which was originating from ‘Anaimallai Hills’.I was surprised and happy to see such a powerful and beautiful waterfall.

We took many photos there. The air was fresh and cool. We saw the waterfall from up and down. The river is falling through forest. Many wild animals have take water of the river. We need to be careful when we walk, there is slippery places.From the bottom the waterfall looked even more amazing.
There were many tourists there.Some people are coming and going,some were sitting and enjoying the beauty of the Waterfall.I just stand near the waterfall for some time and enjoyed the beauty of the waterfall.The drops of the water touch us smoothly and gave a cold vibrancy.I also felt it.It made me feel peaceful and happy.

This journey to Athirapally Waterfall was one of the best trips of my life.I will never forget the vibrant wonderful experience I got.It was an enjoyable one and feelful one as I felt of being close to nature.I really wishing to visiting it again in a rainy season.With this wish I left there back.
